Registration Chair: Gary reported that we are down 50 seasonal registrants and 30 registrants short overall for 2005 compared to 2004. Holdrege changed to AAU. Seasonal athlete registration cost will be discussed at convention.
Athlete Rep. Erin Holtmeyer reported that she and Jenn will be working on nominations and ballots for the election of a new athlete rep at D1.
Registration Chair Paul Kemp reported that numbers of officials are up slightly. He currently has 101 registered officials and 15-20 apprentices.
Paul said that John Hitchcock will run clinics in the Western part of the state, Candy Hammer will run clinics in Lincoln, and he is hoping to have 4-5 people to run clinics in Omaha. Paul will be writing a year long clinic schedule so that people can plan to attend.
Paul wants to encourage all clubs that host meets to use the new people so they feel helpful and want to continue being officials, and so the old-timers dont get burned out.
Mary Losee reported that she has met with John Morrissey and Jack Jackson to begin working on how MW will help with Olympic Trials. MW will be filling lots of grunt jobs!
Betty Kooy reported that at the convention in September, there will be a seminar on LSC finances and wants to make sure that one of the delegates goes to that session.
Betty and Gary reported on a policy for deck entering athletes at a meet and deck USA Swim registrations. Gary moved that the motion be accepted and it passed unanimously.
It is as follows:
Plan One
No deck entries allowed unless the swimmer is already entered in the meet.
For those swimmers who are shown as not registered on the pre meet recon and
who have failed to get their registrations to the LSC Registrar see on deck
registration requirements.
Plan Two
Deck entries are permitted
A current USA Swimming membership card must be presented
Those who attempt to enter the meet without a card must complete an on deck
registration no matter what statement they make with regard to their membership
status.
If upon receipt by the LSC Registrar, the athlete is already registered the
registration forms, fees and documentation will be returned or destroyed.
On Deck Registration Requirements
A registration form must be completed
A copy of a
government issued birth
certificate, drivers license, military id (front &
back) or passport must be forwarded with the registration form.
This documentation is
required no matter what statements are made regarding previous registration.

on the pre-meet recon
report or has a
prior years registration card the birth certificate requirement is waived.
A check for the on deck registration, which is double the standard fee.
The meet referee will confirm that all elements are present, sign and date the
registration
form and return it to meet management.
The registration will be forwarded to the LSC Registrar no later than three
(3) days after the meet.

If an annual club attends both the Spring and Fall meetings of the HOD they will receive a $60 credit off the next years fees.
Lisa Ellis reported on the progress of the swimposium. It was moved and passed to pay the difference to get Milt Nelms for the coach presenter. It was also moved and passed to charge $25 per child/parent with a family ceiling of $100. The coach cost will be $50-75, depending on how many sessions Milt will do.
